Have been using the HK Rotosphere for that leslie effect and was satisfied but alway wanted a real rotating horn without the weight or bulk.

Anyway this is an older unit without the mics inside to run through the PA.

Have heard bad reviews from Harmony central on the installation of some small mics you can mount inside the unit, the sound SUCKS.

Anyway, has anyone come up with a solution to bumbing up the volume so I can compete with my guitarists.

Ie. external mics and where you would place them.

And when we do gig they are usually small dives and parties where I would rather have control over my voume with my amps and not the PA.

For the low end Im using a Peavey KB300 but you must adjust its volume to the Pro and it is only 40 watts.

I have an older Pro-3t and just replaced my PD-40 driver with the one Ms uses now, an MS-1.2.

If your unit does not have one of these install it.

You access the driver from the bottom, just unscrew the square plate.

The newer driver is louder, sounds better and is more reliable than the PD-40.

Set the post gain knob (on the right facing the unit) on 10 - all the way clockwise.

Adjust your volume with the pre-gain knob (the one on the left).

Itll sound louder.

Next try an amp with more power and a 15 woofer.

You could also try the virtual stereo effect by hooking up the other output jack to another amp - OR to the PA if you are also going through a sound system.

I have had the best luck just micing the pro-37 with a shure 57.

I think installing mics inside is a waste of energy, Id just mic it with a 57 on a stand.

These days I just turn it up, however because the band I use it with never uses a sound system for anything but vocals.

On the other hand, tell the damn guitar players to turn down, too, at least while youre soloing.

So it is my amp that must be turned down to not over power the spinning horn.

The help about the pre- gain and post gain I have read about will give me a little more voume and less distortion.

I think miking the whole set up when I get the 2 voumes matched up is the key.
